Oak Brook Athletic Heroes of Softball

Blogger played in his first softball game with the Clayton Campbell assembled Bakersfield Maggots. Clayton Campbell IV (Affectionally referred to as "C4") moved into Oak Brook Athletic Hall of Fame contention with a brilliant hit to right field.

C4 slid face first into third base, distracting the third baseman from catching the ball, then scampered for home.

In a spectacular display of athleticism and heart, C4 dove head first for home plate as the throw home was being made.

We regret to report that he high centered upon the center part of his anatomy and stopped three feet short of the plate, where he was unceremoniously tagged out.

On another note, consistent with the Oak Brook Athletic Mission Statement of mixing the spiritual with the athletic, Blogger successfully prayed the whole game for the ball to not come to him. He managed to avoid touching the ball in the field of play without incurring a single error-a significant accomplishment for Blogger in his current athletic state.
